For the second year in a row Jennifer E. Angel Ramirez, retired United States military veteran and now owner and Executive Chef of Angel's Catering in Atlanta, has prepared dishes for a variety of people in his 21-year career, including serving for a time as personal chef for the Supreme Allied Commander-Europe. However, after becoming an Atlanta caterer, Ramirez began to sponsor a quarterly United Service Organization event for active duty military personnel, the last of which took place on February 25, serving approximately 300 soldiers in transition from the Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan tours, as well as soldiers going to back to serve.

 

"These soldiers have been away from everything and everyone they've known and loved for many months," Ramirez said, "and they deserve our support in whatever way we can express. For me, it is with food."

 

Ramirez gave a special thanks to the CEO of the USO, Mrs. Mary Lou, and the USO team for their unconditional support of all members of the United States military.
