2011 Georgia Diversity Awards

Atlanta, GA, March 15, 2011--TAG diversity, a society of the Technology Association of Georgia, announces the first annual TAG Diversity Award to be awarded at a dinner event on Tuesday, April 26th. The award will be presented to the individual who proved to be a superstar leveraging diversity within their organization to increase productivity, efficiency, profits, revenues and employee morale. Organizations in the technology sector or use technology as a driving force to sell products and services are eligible. Nominations are made online by a supervisor or manager level person in a position to evaluate the outcome.

Diversity includes creative, intellectual, cultural, ethnic, generational, gender and lifestyle differences.
"This award was created to reward efforts by organizations to mine the broad array of diversity to meet aggressive goals," said Greg Parker, Co-Chair of the TAG Diversity Society. Rebecca Hoke, Co-chair, added that "we are enthused by the response so far by the Atlanta business, academic, and not-for-profit communities to recognize the efforts of their employees breaking through existing artificial barriers to meet goals and improve the overall work environment".
